Bato Schools District in Camarines Sur Receives Massive Support from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Continuing its mission to support quality education, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints donated essential educational materials and supplies to the Bato Schools District of Camarines Sur's Schools Division under the Department of Education last August 5, 2023.

To support both learners and teachers in 26 schools in the district, the Church turned over 80 units of 50-inch smart TVs, 56 commercial-grade printers, and necessary tools and materials needed to repair classrooms and essential parts of the schools. The schools also received reading books for their libraries, armchairs and other learning materials.

Acting Mayor Victorio S. Ramos of the Municipality of Bato, led the town’s delegation in receiving the donated learning equipment. He expressed his deep gratitude to the Church and urged school officials to take care of and maximize the use of the new learning tools that they have received.

Public Schools District Supervisor Minviluz Nierva welcomed the donations with gratitude. Nierva recognized the transformative potential of these resources, especially for learners with special needs. With these tools, the district anticipates a significant boost in literacy and numeracy skills among its students, fostering a more conducive environment for growth and learning.
