The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints donated forty 40 desktop computers and materials for ceiling repairs of San Vicente Integrated High School (SVIHS) in San Pablo City, Laguna last 26 September 2023.

SVIHS Principal Edgar V. Tuico expressed his gratitude to the Church for their support in improving the school’s educational resources.
“We truly recognize your exemplary assistance that will benefit our learners. Your donated materials to fix our ceiling will make two of our classrooms more conducive to learning. The 40 desktop computers will capacitate our learners to the new age technology,” Tuico said.
“This project supports the DepEd’s (Department of Education) Vision and Mission which is to help our learners to realize their full potential and develop them to become life-long learners," he added.
President Lysander Guevarra of the San Pablo Philippines Stake (diocese) shared insights into the funding of these donations, attributing the support to the Church members' selfless contributions.
“Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints willingly contributed to the fast-offering fund, forgoing two meals," Guevarra shared.
"It is thanks to the members' exceptional generosity and faithfulness, that enabled us to extend these blessings to those in need, creating a ripple effect that will undoubtedly shape generations to come,” he emphasized.
Elder Brendan and Sister Patricia Hayne, humanitarian service missionaries, extended their gratitude to the school leaders and faculty for their dedication to the students. Drawing from their extensive experience in humanitarian service, they shared the profound lessons and personal inspiration they gained through their involvement in such efforts.
“We believe that the glory of God is intelligence, they said.” They also highlighted the Filipino term 'Bayanihan', embodying the resilience and unity of the Filipino people, underscoring the importance of community spirit in initiatives like this one.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believes in the significance of education. It recognizes that education not only fosters self-reliance but also equips individuals with skills and knowledge to extend meaningful and effective ways to help others—a principle exemplified by the Savior, Jesus Christ during His mortal ministry and in His teachings.
