    Two General Authority Seventies from the Philippines Speak at April 2021 General Conference

    Hear Messages of Hope, Love, and Faith

    This 9-11 April 2021, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints invites everyone to hear messages of hope, love and faith in Jesus Christ by participating in the rebroadcast of the 191st Semiannual General Conference, which will air on GTV (GMA News TV).

    Various global Church leaders from different countries will share gospel messages that inspire and uplift, especially during this Easter season.

    Included in the roster of international speakers are two leaders from the Philippines who spoke during the live broadcast of the Sunday Morning Session of General Conference. The rebroadcast will air on 11 April at 2:00 pm on GTV.

    Elder Michael John Uy Teh, General Authority Seventy who hails from Davao City, shared about the essence of not just learning about Jesus Christ but knowing Him and gaining a deeper understanding of His Atoning sacrifice.

    “We need to recognize that knowing the Savior is the most important pursuit of our lives. It should take priority over anything else,” he said.

    Furthermore, Elder Taniela B. Wakolo, General Authority Seventy, who is currently serving as president of the Philippines Area Presidency, shared about God’s love and the ways that He manifests it to His children.

    “The Savior’s universal love is the motivating force behind all that He does,” the Fiji-native Church leader said. “We know that it is the same love our Father in Heaven has for us, because the Savior humbly taught that He and the Father are one (John 10:30, 17:20-23)."

    About General Conference

    The General Conference of the Church is a worldwide gathering of Latter-day Saints that takes place bi-annually at Church headquarters. Since 2020, Church members and friends from across the globe participated in the General Conference virtually through radio, television, satellite and the Internet to listen to messages centered around the Living Christ and His gospel.

    The April 2021 General Conference was broadcast live at Church Headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah on 3-4 April.

    In the Philippines, the General Conference rebroadcast will air in the following schedules on GTV:

    • Friday, 9 April, 3:30 pm: The World Report
    • Saturday, 10 April, 2:00 pm: Saturday Morning and Afternoon Sessions
    • Sunday, 11 April, 2:00 pm: Sunday Morning and Afternoon Sessions
