Beginning Friday, 02 June, the Philippines Missionary Training Center (MTC) of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will hold an open house for its two newly completed buildings. Tours will run from Friday, 02 June, through Saturday, 10 June. Tours on weekdays begin at 5:00 PM. Saturday tours begin at 8:00 AM. There are no tours on Sunday and Monday. The last tour on all days is at 7:30 PM. The MTC is located at the corner of Temple Drive and White Plains Avenue, across the street from the temple.
The Philippines Missionary Training is a place where missionaries receive religious instruction and language training and learn teaching skills. They also develop a respect and cultural understanding for the areas where they will serve before traveling to these destinations. Training lasts from three weeks to three months, depending on language needs.
Members of the Church as well as those from other faiths are welcome to see the two new MTC buildings (Pod 3 and 4). The tour is good for 30-40 minutes.
