Following the call of President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to join him for a worldwide fast, the Philippines Area Presidency sent a message to all Church members to heed the prophet's call.
Amid the changes happening around the world because of COVID-19, we echo the call of President Russell M. Nelson for all members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to join him in a worldwide fast to pray for relief from this global pandemic.
We invite all to fast and pray this Sunday, March 29, 2020. Within the sanctity of our homes, let us unite and plead to our Father in Heaven for physical and spiritual healing throughout the world.
As we humble ourselves in fasting, may we lift our hearts, our minds, and our voices in communion with our Father in Heaven. The Lord knows us. He understands our feelings and desires. He loves and cares for us. We supplicate to His name and ask that we be strengthened and lifted as we call upon Him and His Son, Jesus Christ—the Master Healer.
