    Navy Presents Plaque of Merit to LDSC

    The Naval Reserve Command of the Philippine Navy (PN) awarded a Plaque of Merit to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during their 32nd Founding Anniversary held in Intramuros on December 9, 2014.

    Flag Officer in Command of the Philippine Navy, Vice-Admiral Jesus Millan, presented the plaque to Ret. Major General Pete Soria who represented LDS Charities, the humanitarian arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

    The Navy highlighted the Church’s continued support and services rendered in line with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Internal Peace and Secuirty Plan (IPSP)  “Bayanihan” and the Command’s various humanitarian assistance and disaster relief activities.
