Latter-day Saints Charities Donates Insect Repellents to Fire Victims in Davao City

Fire victims in Davao City received organic insect repellents from Latter-day Saints Charities (LDSC), the humanitarian arm of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The affected residents from the recent fire incident in Pag-asa Barangay 5-A, Bankerohan received 300 repellent bottles on 5 April 2021.

As the fire had left the victims homeless, Barangay Captain Edgar Ibuyan Sr. expressed, "These donations will help the fire victims in our barangay, especially those who have made temporary shelters just outside their burned homes."

Barangay Captain Remedios Dela Luz thanked LDSC for the donations. "These insect repellents will significantly help protect the evacuees, considering their present conditions in our centers."

In 2020, more than a thousand residents from Brgy. Panacan and Brgy. Ilang received insect repellents.

"We are glad that we have a continued partnership with Latter-Day Saints Charities despite the global COVID-19 pandemic. Currently, we prioritize assisting victims situated in the evacuation centers in disaster-hit communities", said Rodel Natad, Super Radyo Davao Project Manager.
