Church of Jesus Christ Donates Tech Equipment to Palauig Schools in Celebration of Community and Education

In a heartwarming display of community spirit and commitment to education, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints donated 90 units of 55-inch television sets, projectors, laptops, and tablets to schools in Palauig, Zambales. The turnover ceremony was held at the Palauig Ward Chapel and attended by local educators, students, parents, and Church representatives.

The donation was facilitated through the Church’s humanitarian missionaries, Elder and Sister Gardner, in partnership with the Iba Philippines Stake (diocese) led by President Luvie Jaramillo. The event began with a prayer offered by Nolan Carpio of the Department of Education (DepEd) Palauig Division, followed by the singing of the National Anthem led by Jennie Docuyanan, a local teacher.

Elder Vidal, Iba Stake WSR Missionary, welcomed attendees and emphasized the Church’s commitment to uplifting lives through education and service. “We are all children of God,” he said, “and we must reach out and help others regardless of religion or beliefs.” He highlighted how technology can transform learning environments and inspire unity and love.

Mrs. Ann Yap, Principal III of the Palauig District, expressed deep gratitude for what she described as “unexpected blessings.” She shared that the dream of integrating technology into their schools once seemed impossible, but has now become a reality. “This act of kindness is truly an investment in the future,” she said, assuring that the equipment will be used to promote academic excellence.

President Jaramillo also acknowledged the role of faithful Church members in making the donation possible, underscoring the collective effort behind the initiative. The ceremony concluded with a cultural dance presentation titled “Pintakasi,” performed by students to symbolize cooperation and teamwork—a fitting tribute to the spirit of unity that marked the occasion.

Also in attendance were Sister Vidal of the Iba Stake WSR, Communication Director Sister Monette Cruz, faculty members from DepEd Palauig District, students, and parents.
