The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints demonstrated its unwavering commitment to community welfare by extending a generous donation to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Tanay, Rizal. This included crucial firefighting equipment, including gear to prioritize firefighter safety, essential rescue and medical tools, and vital electronic devices such as computers, printers, and projectors. The purpose behind this donation was to enhance the capabilities of the BFP, enabling them to effectively respond to emergencies and protect lives and property.
Elder Steven R. Bangerter, Area President, and Bishop L. Todd Budge of the Presiding Bishopric were among the distinguished guests present at the event, joined by Tanay BFP Senior Inspector (SINSP) Argia J. Baniel and Edgardo Fernando, Director for Temporal Affairs .
The ceremony took place at the Tanay Meetinghouse on June 15, 2023, where SINSP Baniel expressed his profound gratitude for the invaluable contributions made towards their fire station. He emphasized the significance of the donated equipment, stating, "The BFP has been empowered to fulfill its mission and make a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals. Through your generosity, you have indirectly served our community by equipping us with these essential tools that enable us to do our job effectively."
