On August 7, 2025, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints formally turned over a brand-new X-ray machine and dialysis machine to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tumauini, Isabela.
The turnover ceremony was held at the Tumauini Dialysis Center, attended by SB Member Sharina Lu T. Bautista-Medrano, Dr. Janet Bacani, and staff from the Tumauini Community Hospital. Church representatives included President and Sister Packer of the Philippines Tuguegarao Mission, the presidency of the Tumauini Philippines Stake (diocese) led by President Jasper D. Allapitan, Area Welfare Missionaries Elder and Sister Plummer, and other stake leaders.
In his remarks, President Packer emphasized the Church’s compassion and commitment to service. “The Lord loves us,” he said. “He’s always finding ways to reach out to those in need, often through people who are willing to help. This donation is one way of showing that love and care in action.”
Mayor Venus T. Bautista expressed heartfelt gratitude for the Church’s continued support. “This modern equipment will not only benefit our constituents but also ease the workload of our doctors and hospital staff who work tirelessly to serve our people,” she said. She also assured that the LGU would maintain the equipment responsibly.
