The 2023 Youth Music and Arts Festival premieres August 15, 2023, on various Church digital channels. The pre-recorded broadcast may be used at any time to supplement local activities for youth.
This virtual global music and arts celebration is based on the 2023 Youth Theme “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). The celebration features youth and creative works by youth from around the world expressing how Jesus Christ is their source of strength in all they do.
Beginning Tuesday, August 15, watch the pre-recorded event on YouTube.com/StrivetoBe and Broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
The event will be available in Cantonese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish on ChurchofJesusChrist.org, the Gospel Library app, Gospel Media, and the Strive to Be YouTube channel.
Instructions for how to submit original creative works until August 1 can be found in those same languages at youth.churchofJesusChrist.org.
Invitation to Submit Creative Works
Youth ages 11–18 of all faiths worldwide are invited to create original creative work such as music, dance, poetry, painting, sculpture and other forms of artistic expression that illustrate how Jesus Christ is their strength. These works may shared throughout the year at local activities or on social media using the hashtag #AllThingsThroughChrist.
Additionally, youth who would like their creative work to be considered for the Youth Music and Arts festival may submit their entry online at youth.ChurchofJesusChrist.org by May 22, 2023. Other submissions will still be accepted until August 1.
Youth can also submit their creative works by sending a direct message to the Strive To Be Instagram page. “For the next youth event, we want to feature YOU,” said a recent Strive To Be Instagram post. “We can’t wait!”
