‘Trailblazers of Faith’ Devotional Honors Pioneer Heritage in Pangasinan Multi-Stake Gathering

Members from several stakes across Pangasinan gathered for “Trailblazers of Faith,” a multi-stake pioneers devotional held on March 15, 2026, at the Urdaneta Stake Center, honoring the faith, sacrifices, and legacy of early pioneers who helped establish and strengthen The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the province.

The devotional brought together more than 600 members from the Dagupan, Urdaneta, Calasiao, Rosales, Mangaldan, Lingayen, and Bayambang Stakes, creating a meaningful opportunity for Latter-day Saints across the region to gather in unity and remembrance of their shared pioneer heritage.

Remembering a Foundation of Faith and Sacrifice

Through inspiring messages, historical reflections, and musical numbers, the devotional highlighted the humble beginnings of the Church in Pangasinan and the steadfast testimonies of early members who helped build and strengthen the Church in their communities.

Stories of faith, sacrifice, and dedication from early pioneers served as a reminder to members today of the enduring strength that comes from devotion to Jesus Christ and commitment to His work.

Participants were encouraged to reflect on the example set by these early members and continue building upon the spiritual foundation they established in their families, wards, and communities.

Music Strengthens the Spirit of the Gathering

Musical selections by the Dagupan Stake Youth Choir and the Rosales Stake Choir added a spirit of reverence and gratitude to the devotional. Their performances helped create a worshipful atmosphere that invited reflection on the sacrifices and testimonies of the pioneers who helped nurture the growth of the Church in Pangasinan.

Moving Forward With the Faith of the Pioneers

Beyond honoring the past, the devotional also encouraged members to preserve local Church history and strengthen their commitment to carrying forward the work begun by earlier generations of faithful disciples.

The gathering was made accessible throughout the meetinghouse, including the chapel and overflow areas, allowing many members to participate in this special commemoration of pioneer heritage and faith.

As members reflected on the legacy of those who came before them, the devotional served as a reminder that the same faith and dedication that strengthened the Church in earlier years continue to guide members today as they move the Lord’s work forward in their homes and communities.
