The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that a new Friend to Friend episode titled “My Heavenly Father Loves Me,” will be released on November 5, 2022, at 10 a.m. mountain daylight time.
Children, parents and Primary teachers are invited to watch the broadcast, which will feature activities, music and messages from the Primary General Presidency.
The November Friend to Friend will be the third Friend to Friend event this year. Two previous episodes focused on the temple and the principles of baptism, the Holy Ghost and the sacrament.
For the craft activity in the November episode, children will be invited to ponder how they can serve and be kind to others and then draw a picture or write about the thoughts they had.
The full broadcast and segments will remain available online after November 5 to supplement teaching at home or at church. This broadcast can be enjoyed by children as they gather in families, in Primary groups or individually.
The event will be filmed in English. Translated versions will be available in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Russian, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Previous Episodes
In the July 2022 Friend to Friend, “Temples Are the House of the Lord,” Elder Gary E. Stevenson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles joined the broadcast from the Tokyo Japan Temple. He took five Japanese children on a personal tour of the temple during the open house prior to its July 3 rededication and interviewed them about their experience.
“Heavenly Father loves each one of His children; He especially loves Primary children,” the Apostle testified. “He loves every child of God. I know Heavenly Father lives. I know the temple is literally the house of the Lord. I know Jesus Christ lives. I testify that He is the Son of God.”
Much of the 20-minute broadcast was filmed at the Church History Museum’s “Temples Dot the Earth” exhibit, designed to help children ages 1-11 discover the history and purpose of temple building.
Outgoing Primary General President Camille N. Johnson participated in the English version of the Friend to Friend, with Sister Susan H. Porter, First Counselor, in the Portuguese version, and Sister Amy A. Wright, Second Counselor, in the Spanish version. President Porter became the Primary General President on August 1.
The February Friend to Friend, “Baptism, the Holy Ghost and the Sacrament,” followed a young explorer who traveled a trail representing the covenant path. Along the way, the Primary General Presidency helped the explored and children hosts learn about baptism, the gift of the Holy Ghost and the importance of the sacrament.
“The covenants and promises you make with Heavenly Father will bless you and your family and friends,” President Johnson testified.
This episode also originated in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
The first Friend to Friend Broadcast for Children was released in 2021.
