The Bacolod City Health Office (CHO), in partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, held another round of COVID-19 vaccination events for local Church members from the different stakes (dioceses) in Bacolod on January 18, 2022, at the Galo meetinghouse cultural hall.
Individuals from ages 12-17 years old, adults, and seniors received their first, second, and booster doses. Because of the well-organized process flow, which included filling out the form, obtaining the vaccine, and receiving the vaccination card, the event proceeded smoothly.

Vaccination campaigns such as this have become a top priority in Bacolod as it is the city’s strong point in reducing the high-risk transmission status.
In word and deed, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints supported in providing and rolling out vaccination drives for generations.
Latter-day Saint Charities and Immunization
The Church is a known supporter of vaccination efforts and campaigns worldwide through the work of LDSC. The humanitarian arm of the Church runs efforts to preserve and protect the lives of all people. LDSC does this by partnering with organizations around the world, including the Philippines’s DOH, to provide monetary support to deliver and improve vaccine delivery systems, aid healthcare worker training, and encourage vaccine procurement.
Recently, through LDSC, the Church is helping to support the global effort to distribute COVID-19 vaccines to at-risk populations around the world. A US$20 million grant was given to UNICEF for its role and access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator and the COVAX Facility. This global effort has already reached 121 countries and territories.
As appropriate opportunities become available, the Church continues to urge its members, employees, and missionaries to be good global citizens and help quell the pandemic by safeguarding themselves and others through immunization.
