Latter-day Saints, Leading Hospital Join Hands for Blood Drive

The Pasig Philippines Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints collaborated with St. Luke's Medical Center, one of the country’s top hospitals, to hold a successful blood donation drive on August 15 at the Pasig Philippines Stake Center. 

The event drew over 60 participants who either donated blood, assisted in the registration and screening of donors, or helped facilitate the event, which was spearheaded by the stake Relief Society organization under the slogan “Give Blood. Give Hope. Give Life.”

“I truly appreciate everyone who took the time to donate,” expressed Maridane Mendoza, Blood Bank Donor Coordinator for St. Luke’s Medical Center. “Every blood donation can help patients who need blood for surgeries, emergencies, and other medical conditions,” she added, noting that the simple act of giving “can make a big difference and may even help save someone’s life.”

“With our partnership with St. Luke's Medical Center, we are one with them to give hope and share our love in this remarkable way,” shared Sister Tess Apduhan, the stake Relief Society president. “I talked to some of the participants, and they are happy to do this and more willing help to those in need. Our hearts are full.”

The blood donation drive has become a recurring event for Pasig Philippines Stake, as part of its regular contribution to community involvement and upliftment.
