The first couple to be married in the Bacolod Philippines Temple was sealed on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, days after the newly dedicated temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints began operating in Bacolod City.
The Bacolod Philippines Temple was dedicated on May 31, 2026, by Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles as the sixth operating temple of the Church in the Philippines.
Jarom Georfo, 27, is from the Mansilingan Ward of the Bacolod Philippines South Stake. He served as a full-time missionary in the Philippines Quezon City North Mission.
Camille Georfo, 26, formerly Camille Jovenes, is from the Handumanan 1st Ward, also in the Bacolod Philippines South Stake. She is a graduate of Brigham Young University–Hawaii.
According to the couple, they are both third-generation members of the Church. They said they first met through Church activities and youth gatherings, where they grew up learning about the importance of the gospel of Jesus Christ and progressing along the covenant path.
Their friendship continued over the years. After Jarom returned from his mission, they began dating with the shared goal of being sealed in a house of the Lord.

Jarom and Camille said much of their courtship was spent in a long-distance relationship as they pursued individual goals and opportunities. They said their desire to make and keep temple covenants helped guide their relationship and preparation for marriage.
“We both know that making covenants as husband and wife in the temple and being sealed for time and all eternity will bless us, our family now, and the generations that will come after us,” they said.
“Temple marriage is a way to show that we are followers of Christ and that we want to help in the Lord’s work here on earth,” they added.
For members of the Church, temple sealing is the sacred ordinance in which a husband and wife are married not only for this life but for eternity. As Elder Andersen taught in the April 2026 general conference, “we solemnly vow to keep the covenants, and the Lord promises us, as we are faithful, unspeakable blessings in mortality and beyond.”
As they begin their married life, Jarom and Camille said they look forward to strengthening their faith, building their family, and participating in temple and family history work.
