Face to Face for Young Adults with Elder and Sister Bednar: “Ask, Seek, Knock”

Elder David A. Bednar of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and Sister Susan Bednar will be the featured guests at a Face to Face for young adults on September 12, 2021, titled “Ask, Seek, Knock.”

In a video post on his Instagram account, Elder Bednar shared, "Sister Bednar and I are looking forward to being with you all in September. We are going to discuss spiritual patterns for finding answers to our own questions - asking, seeking, and knocking. I remind you of the experience of the Prophet Joseph Smith when he returned to his home following his experience in the Sacred Grove as he was visited by the Father and the Son. His mother greeted him and in essence asked, 'Joseph, what is the matter?'. His response was, 'Mother, I am well enough off. I have learned for myself'. That is the theme of what we will be focusing on: how we can use the gift of the Holy Ghost and other spiritual patterns to find answers for ourselves."

The live broadcast will air on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 4:00 PM mountain daylight time (September 13, 2021, at 6:00 AM Philippine Time) on the Church satellite system,, YouTube, Latter-day Saints Channel and other digital channels.

All young adults, whether single or married, are invited to participate. Full-time missionaries are also invited to attend and to bring those they are teaching when possible. Local leaders are encouraged to determine a viewing date and time that best serves the young adults in their area.

Prior to the event, young adults may submit questions on the event page on

A July 9 post on Elder Bednar’s Facebook page — accompanied by a photo of him and Sister Bednar at the first Face to Face event held six years ago—reads, “As we prepare to participate in another Face to Face this fall,we are reflecting on the various lessons the Spirit has taught us which have strengthened our faith in Jesus Christ during the previous 15 Face to Face events.”

Elder Bednar then invited young adults to share a lesson learned from a prior Face to Face event: “Please leave me a message here or email,” he wrote. “We look forward for to your responses.”

Shortly after the live event, a recording of the devotional will be archived on Face2Face.ChurchofJesusChrist.orgGospel Media and the Gospel Library under Young Adults, which may be streamed or downloaded at any time.
