In a new #HearHim video and blog article, Elder Neil L. Andersen of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles said that we can hear God and receive revelation through honest, sincere personal prayer.
“Honest, sincere, personal prayer opens the window to revelation from our Heavenly Father. We hear Him. He speaks to us,” he said. “As we hear Him and act on His spiritual direction, He showers His spirit of approval upon us.”

The video and blog article are the latest in the series of “How I Hear Him” videos where leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints share thoughts and experiences about how Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ speak to us.
In the blog article, Elder Andersen said he hears Him when he is willing to change, through sincere prayer and reflection, through his wife’s influence, and through repentance and eternal progression.
“Trying to listen to the quiet impressions of the Spirit and promising my Heavenly Father that I will be more attentive to those things seem to bring a greater ability for me to hear Him,” he said.
