Church of Jesus Christ Host Blood Drive in San Pablo for National Service Day

As part of the celebration of the National Day of Service, the San Pablo Stake (diocese) of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in cooperation with the Red Cross Laguna Chapter, hosted a bloodletting activity last September 9, 2023.
Almost 80 people from different walks of life and beliefs attended the event to help support the Red Cross Laguna's mission to help save lives. With the help of Red Cross Laguna’s medical professionals, the event retained the highest medical safety standards in collecting almost a hundred units of blood that will be provided to those in need.
President Lysander Guevarra of San Pablo Stake presided over the Blood Drive at the San Pablo Stake Center. In his opening remarks, he recognized the efforts and thanked Ms. Rose Ann Marie Tazon, Red Cross’ Laguna Chapter’s Donor Recruitment Officer, for bringing the event to the Stake.
The Church of Jesus Christ is the most significant single Red Cross blood drive collaborator globally, helping attract thousands of volunteer blood donors annually. For almost 30 years, members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have generously donated lifesaving blood — collecting millions of units through thousands of bloodletting drives.
Back in San Pablo, Latter-day Saints happily demonstrated their love and unselfishness for their neighbors in the community. Members expressed how inspired they were to see people, especially first-timers, conquer their apprehensions and fears by donating blood for the welfare of others in need.
