Church of Jesus Christ Donates Life-Saving Machines to Iloilo Medical Facilities

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian aid by donating four units of NF5 High Flow Heated Respiratory Humidifiers to two medical facilities in Iloilo City, Philippines. The Western Visayas Sanitarium and General Hospital in Sta. Barbara and the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Jaro were the grateful recipients of these machines, which will aid in treating severe respiratory cases such as COVID-19 and asthma.

President Garcia of the Iloilo Central Stake, accompanied by Elder and Sister Gonzaga, service missionaries for the Church, attended the handover of donations. The hospital directors and staff expressed their gratitude for the much-needed machines.

The lack of medical equipment and supplies has been a significant challenge for the facilities in providing quality healthcare to their patients. However, this donation from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is a significant step towards addressing this issue and improving the quality of care.

During the donation ceremony, Pres. Garcia emphasized that the Church is not only helping people spiritually but also in humanitarian efforts. He added that it is the Church's responsibility to look after their brothers and sisters, and this donation is a testament to that commitment.

Mr. Cyrel Suiza of the WV Sanitarium recognized that this donation was made possible through God's grace and added that giving is a pillar of righteousness.

Dr. Dave Gelito, the medical center chief of WVSMC, expressed their eagerness to continue working with the Church for future projects on how to serve the people better, such as organizing a bloodletting activity.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints' donation of NF5 High Flow Heated Respiratory Humidifiers is a significant contribution to the healthcare system in Iloilo City. It is a reminder that when communities work together, they can make a positive impact and improve the lives of those around them.
