The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints strengthened healthcare services in Northern Mindanao through the donation of hospital equipment to JR Borja General Hospital and the Primary Care Clinic in Tablon during a turnover ceremony held on March 5, 2026, at the Tablon Primary Care Clinic.

The humanitarian donation was made in partnership with the Local Government of Cagayan de Oro, aiming to enhance the capacity of local healthcare facilities to serve residents of the city and nearby communities.

Another Temple in Mindanao

Members of the Church in Northern Mindanao are also looking forward to another milestone in the region with the future Cagayan de Oro Philippines Temple. The temple was announced by President Russell M. Nelson on April 1, 2018, reflecting the continued growth of the Church in Mindanao and across the Philippines. The temple, located in Limketkai Avenue, Cagayan de Oro City, is currently under construction.

When completed, the temple will serve as the seventh temple built in the Philippines and the second in Mindanao, following the Davao Philippines Temple.

The public is invited to the Open House of Davao Philippines Temple scheduled on March 26 to April 10, 2026.
